Leeds Middle School works with A+ College Ready to dramatically increase the number of students taking math, science, English, and social studies Advanced Placement courses. This challenging curriculum prepares students to earn qualifying scores on AP Exams that can potentially count for college credit. In 2016 alone, over 20,000 Alabama students earned a qualifying score of 3, 4, or 5. It is our goal at the middle school to offer rigorous curriculum that will help students prepare to succeed not only in high school, but also at the college level.

AP courses are college-level courses taught in a high school setting, generally during 11th and 12th grade. Qualifying scores on the AP exam have the potential to earn students college credit or advanced standings at certain schools.
